City Accepting Applications for Planning Commission

The Maple Valley City Council is recruiting individuals who are interested in serving in the capacity of Alternate Planning Commissioner. The Planning Commission makes recommendations to City Council on land use issues and revision to the Development Regulations in the City of Maple Valley. The duties of the Alternate Planning Commissioner include attending meetings so that he/she will be prepared to fill an unanticipated vacancy. The Planning Commission meets from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. the first and third Wednesdays of each month, with occasional special meetings and workshops.

The deadline for those wishing to be considered is Friday, April 21, 2017, at 5:00 p.m.  Applicant interviews will be scheduled shortly thereafter.  Applications may be picked up at City Hall, 22017 SE Wax Road, Suite 200, or accessed through the City's website at  Click on City Government, then click on Citizen, Boards, Commissions and Committees, then click on Position Openings.
